December 6th (Saturday, 6 December 1997) is still a special day for me - every year I recall this day when I defended my second PhD thesis in theoretical physics for three reasons:

my thesis was exactly on what I liked and wanted
it was a real defence mostly thanks to the external examiner from California (and a successful defence - the thesis was defended with the highest distinction)
this defence firmly put me on the path in my life I wanted to follow.

PhD in Theoretical Physics (Saturday, 6 December 1997, Department of Physics, Concordia University, Montreal)
PhD in Philosophy of Science (Thursday, 24 March 1988, Institute for Philosophical Research, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia)
MSc in Atomic Physics (Tuesday, 23 September 1980, Department of Atomic Physics, University of Sofia, Sofia)
