Today (4 July 2024), by chance, we found an issue of Le Journal de Montréal of 25 September 1990, where Svetla, our son Vesselin Jr and I were featured on the front page. At that time we had to deal with Quebec's bureaucracy.
It was almost surreal - the Quebec's official policy was (and has always been) to encourage newcomers to learn French, whereas the title of the article is "To learn French, this family has to fight."
